1921 Learned to fly
1924 Arrived in Alaska. Acomplished the first flight from Anchorage to Fairbanks and also the first flight across the Arctic Circle.
1925 Completed the first round-trip flight between North America and Asia (North Cape Siberia)
1927 Formed Wien Alaska Airways
1935 First commerical flight with passengers from Seattle to Fairbanks. First to fly across the Bering Straight
1977 Died in Bellevue, Washington
1989 Inducted into the Minnesota Aviation Hall of Fame
1999 On July 6, 1999, exactly 75 years after Noel Wien’s first flight between Anchorage and Fairbanks, his sons Merrill and Richard repeated the historic flight.
2010 Inducted into the National Aviation Hall of Fame
